If you have a family, you MUST HAVE this camcorder
Wow, what a delight this little machine is. The box opens like a jewel case -- if you've bought an Apple product, you know the type of packaging I mean -- and this tiny little gem of a camera, about the size of a long cell phone, greets you. Tiny, easy and light!
This is my first Flip Video Camcorder. I do have an RCA Small Wonder, but let me tell ya, the Small Wonder is big next to this Flip Video MinoHD Camcorder! As a comparison, this MinoHD is a little narrower and a little shorter than my Blackberry. I can carry it in my fanny pack and not even know it's there; it's so small and light.

Great HD recorder for the price, but if you need a real zoom lens or features, look elsewhere
I got the MinoHD about a week ago. Having experience using both the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD2 a few years ago (also 720p) and the Sanyo Xacti HD1000 last year, I've got a bit of experience with flash-based HD video recorders. I got the MinoHD simply because it's cheap and easy to use.
The sound quality on the videos was decent, but very treble-heavy. Overall it shoots very good video but I wish it had better image stabilization.. walking around outdoors and holding it almost guarante .... Read more

A nice improvement on an already fantastic device
First I should tell you that I would give the flip mino 5 stars even without hd. The jump to high definition is fabulous though and I can see the difference right away.
Since I now own BOTH players I can tell you the difference comes down to picture quality. The native resolution plays much nicer on the HD as one would hope. Neither player quite blows up to my 30 inch 2500 x 1600 res monitor, but I can make the hd picture several times as large as I can the original standard .... Read more

Whats there NOT to like? Exceptional Device!
I own a regular flip which I have used for everything from birthday parties to taking video of server rooms to help me in my job. I now have the Flip MinoHD.
I am not going to try to give you another detailed review...but understand this. This device costs a little more then $200 and records HD video at 720p...which is more then adequate for daily HD use. Its not 1080p, and in my humble opinion, it does not need to be! It is a compact camcorder that records in HI-DEFINITION. .... Read more
